There was a recent shooting at a synagogue in Poway, California, according to the Twitter account of a San Diego sheriff. The tweet read, "A man has been detained for questioning in connection with a shooting incident at the Chabad of Poway synagogue. Deputies were called to Chabad Way just before 11:30 am. There are injuries. This is a developing situation."
Before this, the sheriff had tweeted, "Be aware of increased law enforcement activity in the 16000 block of Chabad Way as deputies investigate reports of a man with a gun. Mayor Steve Vaus responded by saying, "Hate has no place in ANY community...least of all Poway. So far there have been four injured victims. Their conditions are unknown.Hate has no place in ANY community... least of all Poway.
