Trump Believes That The US Will Have A Good Relationship With Russia

Just five hours ago, President Donald Trump tweeted "Very good call yesterday with President Putin of Russia, despite what you read and see in the Fake News Media. Look how they have misled you on "Russia Collusion." The World can be a better and safer place. Nice!" 

Trump has been accused and tried for (by the Mueller report) Russian election meddling. In this tweet, he tries to explain that Russia had nothing to do with the 2016 election, and that the United States and Russia will have a great relationship in the future. 

Back in 2016, (some of) the US was shocked when President Trump won the election. Hillary had won the popular vote, while Trump won the electoral vote (and, therefore, the election). 

Backlash started immediately after, with the want for things like recount and accusing Trump and Putin of meddling in the election. 

As of this year, Trump has not been proven guilty of election meddling.
